The Miracles of Water Based Nuclear Powered Battery

Importance of energy

The storage of energy will be very much important in near future. The working of human beings towards the sustainable and powerful living is becoming an important topic among all scientists of the world. They are trying to develop affordable and cost-effective ways for storing all types of energies. The use of electricity, gas, petrol and all other energies are becoming unavoidable in all parts of the world. Therefore, their consumption has been increased drastically. The scientists are working on this issue to take out some alternatives for the energy. They are trying to produce larger amounts of electricity from the wind turbines. There are solar panels used to produce solar energy. There is a newer phenomenon known as water based nuclear powered battery which is also used as an alternative energy support. There is always been a need of turning the fossil fuels to the renewable and usable energy. This saves the cost, energy and save the environment as well. There are many sources that can be used by the human beings.

Water Based Nuclear Battery

Comparison of water based batteries with other form of batteries

The development of technologies has made us rely highly upon them. That is why we need rechargeable energy appliances. The wind and the solar energy are becoming very famous all over the world but they are not available in all parts of the world. But there is no concept of energy storage system with these natural energy sources. Batteries are the best form to safe and store energy as per your requirement. That is why the water based nuclear powered battery is highly affordable and the safest options for the users. Batteries that have high energy density or you can say they have large storing capability that enable a back up for wind and solar energy cannot store large amount of energy. They are basically based on a lead-acid chemistry. It is also known as Pb-acid. These batteries are long lasting if you discharge them regularly. The irregular discharge of these batteries makes their lifetime small. The bad part of these batteries is they are toxic.

Research at University of Missouri

The researchers of University of Missouri (MU) have claimed to invent a prototype of a water based battery which is nuclear powered. This can fail all types of batteries that were being used in history. They believe that these batteries are long lasting as compare to all other batteries. They believe that this technology is a notable event in the history of inventions. The new concept that is patented at the Missouri University actually replaces the lithium with the sodium component. It is basically environment friendly. It is the biggest technological success that will help the humankind a lot. This will reduce the dependency of gas based power plants. They have explained the process in this way that the water actually acts as a buffer. The surface plasmons that are created in the device become very much useful to increase its efficiency. There is an ionic solution which is not easily frozen at lower temperatures. That is why it works in a large variety of applications that include car batteries and also space crafts.

Advantages

There are number of advantages of these batteries. Few of them are discussed as under

Long lasting

As we have discussed earlier that batteries are not always long lasting. But this is   not the case with these water based batteries. They are long lasting and highly efficient. They can be reused, recharge and store. Not like other forms of batteries, they can live a life of several decades.

Safe

The water based batteries use the water based electrolytes that are non toxic.  Thus they are the safest mode of batteries. They are not flammable. That is why they are safe for the human beings and for the environment as well.

Effcient

The newly introduced water based batteries are very efficient. They can be used in vehicles saving fuels and environment. They can be used in space crafts and many other applications.

Reliable

The use of water based nuclear powered batteries is reliable by all means. They can be used in a long term with harming the environment. All the other type of alternative energy based batteries is very much expensive. They also have short span of life. Some have got larger life limit like Lithium batteries but they are highly toxic and inflammable. They are also very expensive. Basically water is cheap as compared to the other organic solvents. It has got very little safety issues. The lithium resources are very expensive but the sodium deposits all over the world are very cheap.

Disadvantages

The new technologies that come in the market also have some disadvantages. One of the major disadvantages in this technology can be it is nuclear based. But scientists believed that they are using controlled nuclear technologies that are not going to harm the human beings and environment in any case. They said that we are already using the controlled nuclear technologies in our homes, offices and all over the places. The fire detectors, the emergency exits all are the examples of them. Another disadvantage of this technology can be it is quite expensive for the time being. As, it is new that is why it requires some amount of money to be stabilized and move to the use of general public. For this, patience is the key. Sooner the water based nuclear powered batteries will take the future in its hands. There is also another issue with these batteries. They will need a lot of time to reach the third world countries. These nations need cheaper form of energy resources but it is a long term process. That is why they are a long way to go for this technology to reach the common man and the third world nations. All in all, the new technologies are always a favor to the human kind. They are more efficient than ever, they are cheap and affordable and they require less human effort. They save the environment and can be a success for the upcoming nations.
